It's one price per session, not per minute. You pick a session length (15, 25, 45 or 60 minutes) and set the price you're comfortable paying — we'll show you a typical starting figure. That amount is held in your Gyanis Credits the moment you raise your hand, and only paid to the teacher once they accept. No one accepts? Every credit comes back, automatically.
Verified teachers, tutors, mentors, and subject experts. Every expert goes through Gyanis identity and credentials verification before they can take sessions. You'll see their qualifications, ratings, and past sessions before you book.
Every call is hosted on a private, encrypted video room. Sessions are not recorded by default — recording requires explicit consent from both sides. Your credits are only released to the teacher once the session actually happens.
Cancel before a teacher accepts and it's free — your held credits are released immediately. Even after a teacher accepts, you've got a 5-minute grace window to cancel for a full refund, as long as the session hasn't started yet — and the teacher isn't charged for a session that never happened. Once you're in the room together, that session is on.
Yes — if the expert no-shows or the session has a quality issue (like a connection failure on the expert's side), the held amount is released back to your wallet automatically. For other refund requests, contact support and we'll investigate within 48 hours.
You don't have to find one. Type what you're stuck on (e.g. 'crack JEE Maths section' or 'plan my A-Level revision'), confirm the outcome we suggest, and raise your hand — your request goes out live to verified experts who've done it themselves, and the first to accept is who you talk to. Prefer to choose a specific person? You can still browse and raise your hand to them directly.
